We have curated a special selection of wines from our cellar exclusively for our wine club members.
Our Estate wines are crafted from 100% estate grown fruit and are made on site in our winery. These elegant cool-climate varietal-focused wines are a reflection of our unique vineyard, surrounded by native flora and laden with deep mineral-rich red volcanic soils. Each release embodies the notion of terroir, painting a picture of our secluded corner of the Upper Yarra Valley with a stamp in time.
A short, compressed vintage with larger-than-expected crops. Despite the dry season and rapid ripening, the wines showed not only concentration but also balance, lifted fruit and fine tannins.
The growing season began dry, with October the warmest on record and many days over 25°C. Fine weather brought early and fast flowering, setting good crops across all varieties. Warm conditions continued, allowing strong canopy growth to support the fruit through to the New Year. The first week of February brought 45mm of welcome rain, followed by eight straight days above 30°C.
Fruit was handpicked early in the morning into small buckets, with bunch selection done in the vineyard. 80% de-stemmed into an open fermenter with 20% whole bunches, then chilled for a four-day cold soak before fermentation. Fermentation was wild with daily hand plunging. The wine was pressed off skins directly to seasoned (no new) French oak barrels (300L and 500L) for maturation. The final wine was gently racked and bottled without fining or filtration.
Notes from July 2025 tasting.
The aromas are complex, showing darker fruits, plum, and rhubarb. There’s a lovely thread of cinnamon and nutmeg spice that softens and adds perfume to the wine.
Earthy and savoury on the palate, with great structure from the natural skin tannin and acidity. The whole-bunch character sits in the background, adding savoury depth while balancing the riper berry fruits. Drink 2019–2028
